Car Hire

We suggest that you hire a car already in the airport which will allow you to travel around in your own time and comfort. The prices are reasonable and there are world famous companies which provide the car hire.

Also the public transport is not the best in Portugal.

 

When you get your car just put Casa Jardim Peniche in the Google navigation system and follow the instructions. Please note that we are based in São Bernardino, 9km from the Peniche city centre. The journey should take you around 1 hour.

Taxi or Uber

Price for a taxi or uber from the airport to the guest house should be around €120.

 

 

Public transport

Take a taxi from the airport to Campo Grande bus station (it will take around 10 minutes and costs around €10). Or you can take a Metro for the same journey which will cost €2 but it will take at least 45 minutes or longer (there are often long queues to buy tickets). 

In Campo Grande take a bus with the last stop Peniche (it will be written on the bus) but buy a ticket to Geraldes (which is the second last stop). The ticket is €8.60. There is a 10 minutes walk from Geraldes to the guest house - we can come to pick you up there if you wish. 

In our experience bus drivers in Lisbon speak english.
